For those who are interested here are the pictures of the 10k run I did. Did I run the whole way? (now imagine the voice of the lady with the really big, white teeth from 'So you think you can dance') YES I DID! Did I feel like dying and quitting? YES I DID! But I didn't. Here are my thoughts and feeling of the race. July 2.. Am I really going to do this. I don't think I can do this. What did I get myself into. Maybe I'll just run the 5k instead. July 3 after picking up my running pack.. I am really going to do this. I can't believe it. This is so exciting that I am really going to do this. I am going to die. July 4.. Start of the race... Why is everyone passing me this sucks. At least I am doing this... Going up the first hill.... Wow I can't believe people already are walking, I am glad I trained running up hills.... Around mile 2..... OH man a pregnant lady just passed me up.... Mile 4.... Yeah there is Jeremiah and the kids cheering my on. I hope I make them proud. This is for them... Mile 5 running up hill for the rest of the race.... I am going to die my knees hurt and I am going to die but I will wait till the race is over..... Mile 6... There is the finish line I think I will sprint the rest of the way. Here we go..... I ended up finishing in 1:16:36. The second I finished I felt great. I did it! There were two girls I seemed to play tag with throughout most of the race. I would pass them up because they were walking then a few minutes later they would pass my up because they started jogging again. In the end I barley finished behind one and the other finished about a minute behind me. I plan on running this again next year with the goal of getting a better time. Anyone want to join me?

Congrats on the race. I wish I had the guts to do that. I guess I need to start running first. I seem to have a motivation problem. Anyway that is awesome.
Missy you are AWESOME!! Love you!
Congrats!! I think that's great that you did that! I'd do it with you if my knees could handle it but I don't think they will. (That and my husband would have a coniption if I suggested it.) :) You got a great time and have every right to be proud of yourself! Way to go, Missy!!!!!
Yea for Missy! Good for you - I HATE running but I might actually be interested in doing that with you next year. Weird. There's something to be said for setting a goal and achieving it. Way to go.
