Books, books, glorious BOOKS

My kids take after the great Muldowney family and LOVE to read. They are like their grandpa and take their books everywhere in case they have a chance to read. We had to start taking all their books out of their rooms at night because we found out Micheal had been staying up late enjoying his love for books.

There is a podcast on the Mormon Channel by Julie Beck where she talks about her love of reading. She said even when her kids were little, she would let them stay up late if they were enthralled in a book. But they also have to deal with the consequences the next day, too. I've tried that a time or two with my kids... :)

I wish I had readers like that. They'll sit down if I make them, but they don't love it as much as I do. I am a GREAT example to them, though:) I ALWAYS have a book!!!

That is wonderful! Olivia loves books also. The other day she came home telling me that she is the only "book worm" in her class. She doesn't understand why her friends don't love books as much as she does. She is always looking for a new book or series.

Do you have any favorite authors or titles to share?

Tiffani, The boys just have recently read the Percy Jackson series and started the Lost Hero series and the Kane Chronicles all by Rick Riordan. They have also been into Harry Potter and William started Lord of the Rings. I have been reading Isabelle Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine. She also has a book out called Fairest. Which I feel every women and girl should read.
