CRAFT IT FORWARD

Here are the rules: The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me!
This offer does have some limitations:

1. You will not know what it's going to be, and there are no guarantees that you will like what I make! It may be something simple and small or I may go crazy and do something amazing.

2. It’ll be done this year. Translation: you may be waiting a little while.

3. Most importantly, you must offer the same deal on your blog - the first 5 people to comment on your blog (or Facebook or whatever, if you don't have a blog) get something made by YOU!

Can't wait to get my babies home

Jeremiah and Joseph headed to Utah this morning at 4:30 am. So by the time the rest of the family was up and moving, they were half way there. Isabelle was the first to realize Joseph wasn't around and asked where he had gone. I started missing Jeremiah when the house was too quiet(rare) and wanted someone to chat with (thanks Erin for filling in). This evening when I was heading the kids to bed Michael asked "which day will Joseph come back from Utah?" I explained that Joseph and Daddy would be back in time for out St. Patrick's day dinner. He felt very good about that idea. It seems that Joseph was missing his little buddies too. The boys stayed the night at Jeremiah's grandparents. When Joseph realized there was no little boys to play with he cried and said he wanted to come home. I can't wait to get them home. I keep looking around for my fourth Monkey. And it is almost midnight. I was suppose to be in bed almost 2 hours ago. But the idea of a cold bed with out a handsome man to warm it up for me is very unappealing. I miss my babies. Can't wait for tomorrow.

Another Change of plans

So we finally have everything figured out (for the most part) for Joseph's eye appointment. The big change is Jeremiah is going to be heading down and not me. I am really sad about this but I felt it was better that Jeremiah goes down this time and not me. Joseph has two appointments set up for Monday. One with a Rheumatoid specialist, at 12 pm, and following directly after one with the Uveitis specialist. It will be a long day for both Jeremiah and Joseph. Jeremiah is planning on leaving early Monday morning and heading back Tuesday morning, unless they ask him to stay around a couple more days for more testing or surgery. Unfortunately he won't have time for very many visits. Luckily we are planning a trip down in about 2 weeks for the blessing of our new nephew who is not yet born. So we are hoping to have time to make visits then.

Joseph's Eyes

This is for those who are newer to our blog. A little over a year ago we realized Joseph was having problems with his eye sight. We took Joseph to an eye doctor to see if he needed glasses. Joseph was so wiggly and had a really hard time with the bright lights the doctor decided it would be best to give him an eye exam while under anesthesia. While under the doctor discovered Joseph was having major problems. At first they that he had cataracts but they also realized he was having problems with his retina. They brought in a Retina specialist (Dr. Corey), and that same day Joseph went back under and had surgery done on his right eye. They removed his vitreous and scraped some plaque off his lens. We scheduled another date to have the same thing done to his left eye. But the day of the surgery Dr. Corey decided we were going to try something different. Instead he just injected steroids into his eye. We waited to see if that would help and it made a big difference. So since then we have been going back in to do routine check ups and putting more steroids in his eye. Just recently we discovered both eye were getting worse again. That is why we are headed to Utah to get better and more specialist to take a good look at him. Joseph has uveitis. It is an inflammatory disease in his eye. Usually it has an underlining cause. Most of the time the underlining cause is Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. But they have not been able to find anything that is causing the uveitis. Hopefully with more specialist coming in to check him out we might find out what is going on. If you are interested in looking at more about all this fun stuff we have post starting April 16 2008 about Joseph and his eyes.

Headed to Utah

Today I found out I am going to Utah this weekend. We have been having troubles with getting everything figured out with Joseph's eyes. So we finally nailed down who would be best to take care of Joseph and we have appointments on Monday and Tuesday (or Wednesday) for him to see a specialist in Salt Lake. Since I have to be in Salt Lake at 9 am on Monday I thought I would head down Saturday so I wouldn't have to travel on Sunday and I would be able to attend church. So I am excited to head back to see some friends. Please let me know if any of you have time for a visit. I would love to see as many people as I have time for.

Blood Sucker

So my unbelievably handsome husband has gotten a job. He is, as he says, going to be a blood sucker. But for those of the real world it is know as a phlebotomist. He will be working at the hospital drawing blood for 10 hours a day. Now for people like me it sounds disgusting. But for people like Jeremiah and my brother Daniel they think it is awesome. So we are excited that he found a job and one he will really enjoy. Thank you for all your prayers and help.
